February is Black History Month, and SciWorks, the Science Center and Environmental Park of Forsyth County, has a new and expanded African American Scientists exhibit on display, which was created in collaboration with high school students at North Forsyth High School and Parkland High School.
“Over the last three years, the African American Scientists exhibit has been recreated to represent the best of current science occurring in America’s diverse research community,” says Paul Kortenaar, Ph.D, SciWorks executive director. “The individual stories and displays were made possible with the support of students from Parkland High School’s Nelson Mandela Society, and this process began three years ago with help from the Science Club at North Forsyth High School. “
The African American Scientists exhibit will be on display throughout February.
