On Thursday, March 20, SciWorks’ Executive Director Paul Kortenaar will speak at Forsyth Tech’s March SciTech lecture on “Education for Innovation: Preparing Students and Their Teachers to Work in a World of Technology Change.”
“I am excited to be speaking on this subject at Forsyth Tech because the changing use of technology in the classroom is such an important aspect for the future education of Forsyth County’s children,” Kortenaar says. “As a science center, SciWorks has an important part in that education. Our role is to help the local community understand and interpret how science and scientific research play in their lives by acting as the connector between the scientific community and the wider public, and help plant those seeds of innovation.”
The lecture is at Forsyth Tech on Thursday, March 20, from 4 to 5 pm, at the Oak Grove Center Auditorium, 3rd floor, Room #3340. The talk is free and open to the public.
